When you're looking for tasty food in a beautiful setting this spring, it's worth your time to drive to this remote cabin restaurant. Check out Gwin's Roadhouse in Cooper Landing:
Gwin's Roadhouse is a cozy log restaurant. It's part of Gwin's Lodge, but you don't need to be an overnight guest to dine on the delicious fare here.
You'll feel right at home in this snug little log restaurant, which is open year-round.
You definitely want to start with a bowl of Gwin's famous smoked salmon chowder. This rich, creamy chowder is packed full of tender bits of smoked salmon, and it's seriously addicting.
After a long day playing in the wilds of Alaska, comfort food is just what you need, and you'll find plenty of it on the menu.
The handmade burgers get high marks. These babies are hand-pressed to order, and grilled up however you'd like.
If you've really worked up an appetite, Gwin's has you covered. These folks know how to season and grill the perfect steak.
The freshly-baked pies and cakes will tempt your tastebuds when it's time for dessert. Everything is homemade, and it's even better than Mom makes.
