Alaska is so incredibly vast that no one knows for sure what lies in the endless acres of wildlands that stretch across the state. Rumors of strange sightings are common and every kind of creature seems to have been spotted, those scientifically acknowledged and others that are less so. Needless to say, Bigfoot hunting is a draw for the fans of the hairy, large, possibly mythological creatures of the mountains and forests.
What is not up for debate is the existence of the Sippin' Sasquatch, a fantastic cafe in Skagway. Centrally located, this adorable coffee bus and snack shack is a crowd pleaser, offering something for every palette. Their menu perfectly accompanies the rainy, cool days that are often seen in Skagway. Head to the Sippin' Sasquatch and your hunt for sustenance will be over.
Please note, Sippin' Sasquatch is no longer in business.

Skagway, Alaska
Skagway is one of the strikingly beautiful southeast towns with Gold Rush history, mountains rising almost straight from the sea and trails everywhere for exploring the area.
The Sippin' Sasquatch is a perfect place to get a coffee from their full espresso bar before your adventures. Then come back to fuel up afterwards on hot dogs, sandwiches and bagels.
Everything about the place is Sasquatch themed, right down to the mugs. Enjoy the Bigfoot specials, the decorations and the fun loving staff that can tell you about the legends of the area.
Located in a converted bus, the business is open year-round, proudly owned and operated by young, local Skagway residents. This place is a favorite for coffee, breakfast and lunch in this convenient downtown locale.
When you walk by the Sippin' Sasquatch, you will be pulled closer be the delicious smell of hot food and brewing coffee. And, of course, it's always a good time for their expertly constructed nachos.
They offer a variety of delicious panini options with something for everyone. The most popular pressed sandwich is piled with roast beef, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, and has a kick of dijon mustard.
A chili cheese dog luzuriously bathed in toppings is perfect after a long hike. They offer multiple options for sausages including regular hot dogs, local reindeer sausage, and even vegan and vegetarian dogs.
As you dine on your tasty sausages heaped with flavorful toppings, take in the incredible view, worthy of a mythological beast deep in the Alaskan woods.
In the summer, fresh berries picked on the nearby mountains show up in smoothies and coffee specials. Look for blueberries, salmonberries and cranberries throughout June, July and August.
Head to Skagway to search for giant footprints in the mud. If you don't find those, you're sure to find epic views in this amazing part of Alaska, and of course, excellent coffee and snacks at the Sippin' Sasquatch.
