Sure, you can get seafood anywhere, but there is something special about getting it in Alaska where the waters provide it and the locals harvest it. Not to mention where it is outrageously overpriced. :) It's no surprise that seafood is Alaska's specialty, but without a doubt the Alaskan King Crab is the most notoriously sought after meal. Whether it's from the Bering Sea or the Norton Sound, crab is Alaska's state dish! (Salmon at a close second, or perhaps they tie in your opinion.) These restaurants serve up the best crab plates Alaska can offer!

1) The Bridge Seafood Restaurant in Anchorage
Sure, you can enjoy their delicious traditional King Crab Legs OR you can indulge in their addicting King Crab Cakes with their mouthwatering remoulade sauce.
2) Alaska Fish House in Ketchikan
Keep it plain and simple with a pound of Ketchikan's favorite crab. Locally caught and fresh on the table.
3) Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage
Mix it up from the usual order of crab legs and enjoy their Brewhouse Crab Cake Benedict. It's only available on their brunch menu but you avoid the crowds that come with their dinner menu and still enjoy the delicious taste of fresh Alaskan King Crab.
4) Twisted Fish Company Alaskan Grill in Juneau
Be bold and order their Kind Crab Pounder. Over a pound of meaty claws and pinchers await you. Or if you're too scared, they also serve up a delicious crab and prawn angel hair pasta.
5) Captain Pattie's Fish House in Homer
Go with one of their tasty crab appetizers, the crab stuffed mushrooms. They are mouth-watering, trust me.
6) Simon & Seafort's Saloon & Grill in Anchorage
For lunch stop by Simon & Seafort's for their open faced crab sandwich.
7) The Turtle Club in Fairbanks
It's quite the treat to enjoy delicious Alaskan King Crab in this one-of-a-kind rustic Alaskan atmosphere.
8) Louie's Steak & Seafood in Kenai
You can't go wrong with the Alaskan King Crab Louie Salad! Keep it light but keep it delicious.
9) Ray's Waterfront in Seward
Try ray's twist on the Alaskan King Crab Sandwich or the tasty King Crab Cakes.
