They started their first Alaska bakery, now their flagship store, steps away from downtown Anchorage. An unassuming building in what was initially an unimpressive neighborhood, they chose their location in hopes of helping to improve the area.
It more than worked! Within walking distance of so much activity in downtown, the bakery soon blew up with customers, especially as word of mouth spread of their delicious wares! They continued their pattern of opening bakeries in neighborhood settings, and the next one opened in Airport Heights a couple of years later.
If you're looking for your weekly (or daily) bread purchase, look no further! While your scarfing down your delicious cookie, you'll have plenty of time to peruse their bread offerings.
Besides some traditional loaves that you can find every day, there's always some spectacular specials up on the board, as well. And each loaf of bread looks as delightful as it tastes. This gorgeous bread is their infamous Alaskan Sourdough. Could you really call yourself an Alaskan without trying this beauty?

Hours are the same at all locations, Wednesday through Sunday, 7:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
