With over 1300 miles of coastline to stake your claim, Florida is one of the most popular destinations for a beach stay. But when you begin to narrow your search down with options like oceanside, fit for a family, casual, breakfast served, charming, and uncrowded, finding the perfect spot might not be so easy.
Welcome to your perfect spot at Windemere Inn by the Sea, a Caribbean-style mansion located on the Atlantic Ocean in the town of Indialantic.
There are 12 rooms to choose from as well as a communal living room, computer area, library, and breakfast dining room on the main floor of the mansion. There is complimentary parking available, equipped with a Tesla Destination Charging Station. Other amenities include, but are certainly not limited to, daily housekeeping, complimentary airport shuttle, and beach necessities.
The town is actually located on a barrier island between the ocean and the Indian River Lagoon.
You are only just a short path away from the beach with terraces, a garden, pool, and koi pond located on the property as well.
There are five guestrooms in the Main House, another four in the Cottage Suite, and two in the Carriage House Suite located off the courtyard. But no matter where you choose to lay your head at night, you’ll hear the relaxing waves of the ocean.
The Carriage House can accommodate children and even pets for an extra fee. The English Garden has two queen beds, additional seating, a TV, and a full bathroom.
For families and large groups, the English Garden opens up into the adjoining room, the Windsong.
This room is next to the pool and sports a queen bed, a rain shower, and a gorgeous chandelier. There is also complimentary WiFi and A/C - or heat if necessary - available throughout the complex.
Moving on to the second B in B&B, breakfast is served every day from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. in the breakfast dining room, with coffee provided at 7 a.m. for the early birds.
Just some of the goodies available are egg dishes or pancakes with various breads and meats. You also have access to a well-stocked pantry where you can make your own coffee or tea with a Keurig, use the microwave, or grab a soda and some homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Not to be outdone by the first two Bs, let’s get to the reason that you most likely decided to come to this part of Florida: the beach.
Within just a few steps, you’ll arrive at the ideal seaside setting, a private beach area where you can relax, swim, or snorkel. And not to worry if you don’t have all of your main beach supplies; Windemere Inn by the Sea provides all you’ll need, from towels to chairs to umbrellas. You can also take in the sea air and views from the pergola.
For those who prefer a less wave-filled water experience, you can also dip into the large pool.
If you can tear yourself away from the water, there are also plenty of things to do nearby from hiking to fishing to golfing.
Check out the Kennedy Space Center, the Brevard Art Museum, or Victory Casino Cruises, to name just a few. Or head to the Brevard Zoo where you can see native Florida animals like crocodiles and alligators and more exotic ones like giraffes and cheetahs.
