The shop launched in 2005 in what was then a dilapidated 1880s stable. Extensive renovations were completed The building now houses a beautiful gallery and glassblowing studio.

Glassblowing is a very old practice, but it produces works of art that are fresh and unique. It’s relatively straightforward to learn the basics of glassblowing, but there are people who are true masters of the craft.
Hot Shop Glass is a place where you can get started with glassblowing. The shop offers a variety of classes that are open to the public – some allow you to make a paperweight or ornament.
In addition to glassblowing, the studio has drop-in glass fusing classes. It’s a process where you cut and shape colored glass of glass to create a design. The glass is then fired in a 1,400-degree kiln to fuse the glass pieces together.
