We've written about amazing sites in Wisconsin and we've shown you some beautiful parts of winter, but we've never seen anything like this before.
A company out of Utah creates the most amazing ice castle structures that look like they come straight out of a Disney movie - and this year we'll be getting one in the Wisconsin Dells.
The structures are fully dependent on the weather and the company says they hope to open in late December or early January. Once open, you can visit on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 pm to 9 pm, on Friday from 3 pm to 10 pm and on Saturday from noon until 10 pm. Admission during the week is $6.95 for children up to 11 years old and $9.95 for adults. On the weekend, it's $8.95 for kids and $12.95 for adults.
Here's a glimpse of what some ice castles have looked like in other cities to get you excited for the Wisconsin premiere:
These are the structures that have been built for display annually in a few cities across North America.
For the first time in Wisconsin, you can check out these amazing structures.
Replenished every day with thousands of additional icicles, no two sites look the same and they change from day to day with the weather.
The best part of these ice castles is that you get to move in and around them. You get to be the ruler of your own ice kingdom.
The walls can be up to 10 feet thick and are fortified every day.
The ice castles are awesome during the day, but they become jaw-dropping at night with the addition of colored lights.
The ice looks like a mirage rising out of the ground, making for amazing memories and even more awesome pictures.
Since the castles are completely dependent on the weather, their schedule isn't firm. They hope to open by the end of the year and they'll remain open until it gets too warm.
With tunnels, paths and slides, there's something here to keep all ages entertained and wrapped firmly in their magical grasp.
A trip to the Dells is well worth this once-in-a-lifetime fairytale experience.
Here's a video to give you a first-person look at what moving through the ice castles feels like.
