The Oshkosh Celebration of Lights has been a holiday tradition in Oshkosh for more than two decades.
The event takes place in Menominee Park, right on the shore of Lake Winnebago. The location makes the event particularly beautiful – the lights reflect in the water.
It’s a huge event, drawing more than 16,000 vehicles to the park every year. It’s one of the largest and most dazzling light displays in the Midwest.
The driving route in the park covers 1.2 miles, and it passes more than 120 trees filled with lights – one is 100 feet tall! Local radio stations provide music for the event.
The event also includes appearances by Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides, and a Celebration of Lights Gift Shop.
You can feel good while enjoying this special event. It doesn’t just raise support for local charities, it raises tons – specifically, it collects about 7 tons of food donations every year!
The event runs from the day after Thanksgiving through December 31. See hours, ticket information, and more on the Celebration of Lights website.
