If you’re looking from a museum that’s far from typical, you’ve got to visit the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. Opened earlier this year, the museum houses the world’s largest bobblehead collection. There are also lots of exhibits and info, so you can learn all about the wobbly-headed dolls. Take a look:
There’s a ton to see in Milwaukee – and that includes the world’s largest bobblehead collection. That’s right; all it takes is a visit to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
Though opened earlier this year, the collection housed inside the museum has been in the works for years. Co-founders, Brad Novak and Phil Sklar, have been collecting bobbleheads since 2002!
And their dedication has definitely paid off. Today, their collection includes more than 10,000 bobbleheads – 6,500 of which are on display in the Milwaukee museum.
The collection is not only the world’s largest, but the museum is the only one in the world that’s dedicated entirely to the wobbly-headed dolls.
Truly one-of-a-kind, the museum is a must visit for all ages. And with such a variety, there’s something for everyone.
A bulk of the collection is dedicated to sports-inspired bobbleheads. But that’s not all you’ll find.
The collection features bobbleheads from all genres and periods.
Look around, and you’ll see the wobbling heads of cartoon characters, pop culture icons, celebrities, politicians, and more.
They come in a variety of sizes, too – and that includes a six-foot-tall bobblehead.
You can do more than look at bobbleheads, though. You can also learn about them.
Thanks to informative signage and exhibits, you’ll find out how the wacky dolls came to be and how they’re made.
Admission to the museum is just $5, making a visit as affordable as it is unique.
After perusing the collection, be sure to stop in the gift shop, where you’ll find plenty of bobbleheads and other souvenirs.
National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is open 7 days a week. Visit Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, call (800) 414-1482. You can also visit the museum’s website or Facebook page.
