In the Dells, the options for fun don’t end with water parks. The bustling city is also home to an amazing arcade that’s filled with a mix of new and vintage video games. Even better, you can pay by the hour! This is one spot that’s sure to be loved by kids AND kids at heart.
Unbeknownst to many, the building at 714 Oak Street in Wisconsin Dells houses a true blast from the past, which is officially known as Asgard Underworld Arcade Bar.
The Dells’ newest addition occupies the once-empty basement of Asgard Axe Throwing.
Sure to appeal to all ages, the arcade features a mix of fun retro games along with some newer favorites.
All in all, there are 37 games, offering everything from Mario Kart, Pac Man, and Donkey Kong to pinball and basketball.
The atmosphere only adds to the fun. The walls, ceiling, and even the bar are plastered in video game-related artwork.
But the best thing about the arcade is that it offers visitors the option of paying by the hour.
That’s right; you can pay one price ($20) and play an unlimited amount of games. Of course, you always have the option to pay per game.
And though the arcade is open to both kids and adults, only patrons 21 and older are allowed at the bar, which serves domestic and tap beers as well as wine-based liquor products.
The bar also boasts a few Nintendo-themed games, which are free to play. What’s more, cup holders are attached to all machines, so you can easily enjoy your favorite beverage while playing your favorite game.
