You don't have to be a skier or a snowboarder to enjoy the winter in West Virginia. There are plenty of hills here to sled and snow tube. 1. Canaan Valley Resort
Canaan Valley Resort's tubing park offers multiple lanes that are each 1,200 feet long. It has the longest snow tubing runs in West Virginia. Sessions are two hours. This tubing park is one of the most popular places at the resort.
2. Blackwater Falls State Park
If you're searching for the best places for sledding in West Virginia, Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis has the longest sledding run East of the Mississippi. The hill is groomed for sledding and there are sleds available for rent. You can even make a weekend of it and stay at the lodge or in one of the park's cabins.
3. Coca Cola Tube Park at Snowshoe Mountain Resort
In addition to all its great skiing slopes, Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort is host to the six-story, eight-lane Coca Cola Tube Park that's sure to be a blast for your entire family.
4. Winterplace Ski Resort in Flat Top
Winterplace Ski Resort has the largest tubing park in the state with 14 lanes. It's one of the best places for snow tubing in West Virginia.
5. Chestnut Ridge Regional Park & Campground
This park in Bruceton Mills is one of the best sled riding parks in West Virginia. Visitors can also go cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and even snowboarding here.
