2020 has been a year of cancellations...from festivals to holidays to family reunions to vacations. But here's some good news: Oglebay's beloved Winter Festival of Lights is still on for this winter! And since it opens the first week in November, now is definitely not too soon to start planning your visit.
Every year, Oglebay Resort goes all out for Christmas. Inside and outside, the resort transforms into a festive, decadent Christmas experience for its guests.
And this year will be no exception. Many things have been canceled so far in 2020, but Christmas is not one of them, and Oglebay Resort has already begun planning its annual Winter Festival of Lights.
Featuring over a million lights strung across 300 acres, you'll need to allot plenty of time to walk and drive through all these bright, beautiful, displays!
Did you miss the colorful, vibrant acres of tulip gardens in bloom here this spring? Catch the Christmas version!
Haven't had a chance to snap a good family photo for the Christmas cards yet? There's no more festive place in the whole state to get one than here at Oglebay.
In fact, USA Today nominated last year's show as one of the best holiday light shows in the whole nation, and we know why: it's so big and bright, you'll need to remember to bring your shades!
The Winter Festival of Lights begins November 5, which is just two short months away. It is scheduled to run through December 10th.

You can also reserve a spot at their Festival of Lights Holiday Dinner Buffet for a sumptuous feast after you've enjoyed all these thousands and thousands of lights! And don't forget to visit the special holiday-themed displays and exhibits at the Oglebay Good Zoo while you're at the resort.
Speaking of the Oglebay Good Zoo, did you know you can actually head inside some of the animal cages for an up-close and personal experience with the animals? Add it to your bucket list!
