Held Sept. 27-29, 2024, the Leaf Peeper's Festival in Davis, West Virginia promises some of the very first hints of fall foliage to be found in the Mountain State.
2. West Virginia Roadkill Cook-Off and Autumn Harvest Festival
On Sept. 28, 2024, head to Marlinton for the infamous annual West Virginia Roadkill Cook-Off and Autumn Harvest Festival. It's a one-of-a-kind way to spend a fall Saturday here in West Virginia!
3. Preston County Buckwheat Festival

Held Sept. 28 to Oct. 6, 2024, the Mountain State Forest Festival is one of the oldest and largest festivals in West Virginia.

Spend all day on Oct. 5, 2024, at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum for their annual Fall Festival! It's as family-friendly as it gets here at the asylum, with the spookiest events taking place in the evening rather than in the full daylight hours.
