August may be winding down, but there's still plenty of time left to enjoy a day at the lake! And one of the best in the state, in terms of pure, kid-friendly fun, is Adventure Lake and Splash Park in Pipestem Resort State Park.
Fall isn't far around the corner, but there's still time for at least one more big summer splash... and we've got just the place to do it.
Tucked away along the Bluestone River south of Hinton on West Virginia State Route 20, Adventure Lake at Pipestem Resort State Park in West Virginia is just right for a thrilling summer escape.
Every summer, Long Branch Lake, which is located in the heart of Pipestem State Park, gets decked out for some summer fun, and this year was no exception.
The lake is filled with giant inflatable toys, allowing kids to climb, jump, splash, and play.
There's also a large splash park if that's more your — or your kids' — style.
Admission is $8 for half a day or $12 for a full day, per person. Children 3 and under are free.
Life jackets are provided and required. The lake and splash park are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
So get on over there while the getting is good for one last big jump of fun before the summer is over!

Have you ever been to Adventure Lake? Is it your favorite thing to do at Pipestem? Where else do you like to go to make the most of the last little bit of summer? State parks are always a great choice in West Virginia, and although not many have an inflatable playground lake like Pipestem, many of them do have some pretty great swimming attractions of their own!
