Is your anniversary on the horizon? Looking to impress a new love? Washington is full of romantic restaurants, parks, hotels and towns, and this is far from a list of all of them. But these places just happen to be perfect for enjoying with that special someone.

1. La Conner

Time and time again, LaConner is recognized as one of the top weekend getaways in our state. That’s probably because of its charming waterfront location, wonderful hotel and restaurant options and the fact that it’s basically covered in tulips all April.

2. Spokane Falls SkyRide, Spokane

The SkyRide is an oldie but goodie for anyone looking for a romantic date in Spokane. You’ll enjoy an incredible bird’s eye view of the second largest urban falls in the United States. Afterwards, you can take a sunset stroll through Riverfront Park.

3. The Woodmark Hotel, Kirkland

The Woodmark is more than just a hotel—it’s a destination itself. You and your better half can dine at Bin on the Lake or the Beach Cafe, both of which are onsite with gorgeous views of Lake Washington. Your room or suite will have luxurious bedding, a soaking tub and a soothing rain shower. If you really want to pamper yourselves, you can book massages at the Woodmark Still Spa.

4. The Pink Door, Seattle

This little gem is so well hidden in Pike Place Market’s Post Alley that some locals don’t even know it’s there. With its dim lighting, candelabras and boudoir-like decor, this Italian restaurant seems primed for romance. And depending on which night you visit, you’ll either enjoy trapeze artists or a sexy burlesque show in the lounge.

5. San Juan Islands

No list of romantic places could ever be complete without the San Juans. With miles of beaches, relaxing hotels like the Roche Harbor Resort, Friday Harbor House and the Outlook Inn on Orcas Island, plus the most stunning sunsets you could ever imagine, it’s no wonder couples hop a ferry to the islands when they need to reconnect.

Cave B celebrates some of the best things in life: food, wine and music (they’re located next to the Gorge Amphitheater). Sip vino at the Cave B Winery and have dinner at Tendrils, which serves Northwest inspired cuisine using herbs and veggies from the onsite garden. You and your sweetie can stay in a cavern or Inn room or go "glamping" in a yurt.

7. Lincoln Park, West Seattle

When you think about a beach stroll in Seattle, you might think of Alki Beach or Golden Gardens. And while they’re both great, Lincoln Park in West Seattle is a true hidden gem. There are 4.6 miles of walking paths to enjoy together and plenty of perfect waterfront space to have a picnic.

8. Mizuna Restaurant & Wine Bar, Spokane

Spokane has its share of romantic restaurants, but Mizuna’s charming decor, old brick walls and shareable plates make it a perfect place for date night.

9. Skamania Lodge, Stevenson

Stevenson is an underrated tiny town in Southwest Washington not far from the Oregon border. And the Skamania Lodge is an ideal place to spend a weekend with your other half, relaxing by the lobby fireplace or enjoying cocktails at Fifty-6 Degrees Lounge.

10. Port Townsend

Washington’s Victorian seaport community will bring out your inner romantic. With plenty of places for beach strolls, festivals, theater performances and culinary delights, you might not want to leave.

11. Manito Park Rose Hill Garden, Spokane

Spokane’s Manito Park is one of the prettiest places in Eastern Washington. If you need a romantic setting but don’t want to shell out major cash, head to Rose Hill or Nishinomiya Japanese Garden for a stroll.

12. Keenan’s at the Pier, Bellingham

It doesn’t get much better than fine dining on the pier with gorgeous water views… except, perhaps, if you go to Keenan’s on a night when they have live music.

13. Salish Lodge & Spa, Snoqualmie

The Salish Lodge & Spa is the perfect place to relax and unwind with your significant other. The Dining Room and The Attic are both beautiful places to enjoy a meal, and if you don’t get a room with views of Snoqualmie Falls, you can check out the beautiful waterfall from the walking path outside. If you have brunch at The Dining Room, make sure you get the coffee service - it’s spectacular.

14. Kalaloch Lodge, Olympic National Park

It doesn’t get much more romantic than a beautiful oceanfront retreat with access to miles of wilderness and sandy beaches. There are several accommodation options here, but if you stay in a cabin, you’ll have privacy AND an ocean view.

15. Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center, Walla Walla

Stylish and sophisticated, this high end hotel’s 1920s brick building adds to its charms. You can relax with your sweetie in the wine lounge or restaurant before stepping out and experiencing all that Walla Walla has to offer.

16. Dilettante Mocha Cafe, Seattle

There are dessert bars, and then there’s Dilettante. Known around Seattle for their delicious chocolates, their location on Broadway on Capitol Hill has a beautiful little bar with a chocolate martini menu that will convince even the most skeptical to "drink dessert." If you’re not a drinker, try one of their giant sundaes.
