You're never too old to appreciate the magic of Christmas. And whether or not you have little ones in your life, if you love Christmas, you'll definitely want to visit The North Pole... the North Pole at the Fair, that is. No matter what part of Washington you call home, Puyallup is definitely closer than the real North Pole.
North Pole at the Fair takes place Washington State Fair and Event Center in Puyallup.
This year's dates are November 3 - December 23, so this magical event is already happening.
To enter, you'll pay a $5 admission and enter through the Red Gate.
The hours vary by day (10 a.m. - 8 p.m. seem to be the most common), so check www.thefair.com for the schedule before you go.
Some of the top attractions include
Santa’s Office, Santa's Library, and Santa's Workshop, where you can create crafts and gifts of your own.
Of course, the highlight of the event is meeting Santa Claus himself.
Photos with Santa cost extra and are by reservation only, so you'll want to plan yours in advance (it's well worth it).
Once you've given Old Saint Nick your Christmas list, take your time exploring the Elf Village.
The village is full of restaurants, general stores, medical clinics, and a schoolhouse.
The little elves in your lives will love this special treat.
And you'll enjoy feeling like a kid again.
To make your reservations with Santa, go to northpoleatthefair.com.
If you just want to come explore the village, you can stop by any time it's open.
Does your family have any holiday traditions? Hopefully one of them is checking out our state's most beautiful Christmas light displays.
