Mount Trashmore is a beloved park in Virginia Beach.
Boasting 165 acres, it encompasses two manmade mountains, two lakes, and plenty of playground facilities.
This August, Mount Trashmore will be the setting of one of the most magical events of the year.
The Water Lantern Festival is an exciting event that promises an evening of enchantment. It is also a very family-friendly activity.
Each participant will be given a water lantern and a marker.
On it, they are directed to write down the name of a loved one or a wish.
The lanterns will then be placed into the lake.
This is done right at sunset to create a spectacle that's nothing short of stunning.
Can you imagine a more magical way to reflect on your incredible summer adventures in Virginia?
After the event is over, the biodegradable lanterns are collected by the Water Lantern Festival team. Grab your family and friends for this great Virginia adventure!
