Just as wonderfully odd as it sounds, this museum is dedicated entirely to the history of pinball machines. Inside, you'll find an impressive collection of vintage games, some of which date back to the 1930s. And the coolest part of all? These games are still playable!
Easily one of the most unique museums in Virginia, the Pinball Museum is located in the heart of downtown Roanoke inside Center in the Square.
The museum opened in 2015 with a mission to celebrate the unique history and science of pinball machines. There are approximately 60 pinball machines in the collection, some of which date back nearly a century!
You'll quickly discover this isn't your ordinary museum; in fact, you're encouraged to interact and play the machines on display.
Moreover, there are drinks and refreshments to fuel hours upon hours of pinball fun.
While playing a variety of games, you won't help but appreciate the science and technology that has gone into each machine. Visitors young and old are bound to learn something new, all the while having a blast!
