If you consider yourself a bookworm, there are probably fewer places more magical than a bookstore. Here in Virginia, we're lucky to have all kinds of amazing places to find a good book: libraries, new bookshops, used bookstores, and antique malls. Today's feature destination is another place to add to your bucket list: the largest bookstore in Virginia. This title belongs to none other than the Green Valley Book Fair, a 25,000-square-foot store that I tell you, you simply must see to believe.
Did you know there is a giant discount book outlet right here in Virginia?
That's right! The Green Valley Book Fair is an iconic bookstore, and you'll definitely want to check it out at least once. It's located just south of Harrisonburg.
Step inside and you'll be overwhelmed by the rows and rows of books to peruse.
The facility is over 25,000 square feet, so be sure to wear some comfortable walking shoes. Today it remains one of the biggest bookstores in Virginia.
The inventory is constantly changing...
...but at any given time, there are approximately 500,000 titles to browse.
And, nearly every genre imaginable is represented.
It's a fun place to go with the whole family; you'll likely need to clear out some trunk space for all of your new treasures!
Most of the books are on sale, too, and up to 90 percent off of retail prices.
The facility is both climate-controlled and wheelchair and stroller-friendly.
You'll also find benches located throughout the store for times when you want to take a quick break. It really is one of the most fun places in Virginia!
