You don't have to go far to find the North Pole. In fact, it's right here in Vermont. If you head to Putney, Vermont, you'll come across Santa's Land, a family-friendly park that's been around for decades!
Santa's Land has been bringing Christmas cheer since 1957.
Before the arcades and mega malls, families could come here to enjoy some rides and have fun.
It closed for a short amount of time, but luckily reopened in 2017.
Today, it still remains a favorite spot to get in the Christmas spirit!
The theme park offers a variety of shops, rides, and most importantly, Christmas decorations.
For starters, visitors can take a ride through the park on the Alpine Train.
If you're lucky, the conductor might even let you blow the train whistle.
There's also a beautiful, old-fashioned carousel.
Just like what you would find at the carnivals, except this one is situated amongst the scenic trees.
On colder days, head into Santa's Gift Shop to warm up.
There's almost always a warm and toasty fire going and you might just find a gift to take home or give someone.
Treat yourself to something sweet at the Sweet Shop or at Candy Cane Cupboard.
Santa's Village has a number of adorable Christmas-themed shops. In addition to candy and sweets, there's also a toy store.
Don't forget about the Giant Slide!
For a magical Christmastime in Vermont's very own North Pole, head to Santa's Land in Putney.
It's a great place for the whole family to visit before Christmas comes around! Admission for ages 2-64 is $13.95 and $11.95 for those 65+.
Santa's Land is open seasonally from June 29th to December 22nd. While in-season, visitors can come on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. For more information, visit their website by clicking here.
