On June 30, 1774, long before the church was built , the nine members first gathered on Newfane Hill as the "Congregational Church of Christ."

The courthouse is just as stunning today!
Nodding to the past, every year there is a service on the last Sunday of June on Newfane Hill, which is where the church was first gathered.
