Utah has plenty of outdoor recreation, museums and cultural offerings, but there are also some unique things to do here that might surprise you.
Here are nine thing you've never thought of doing in the Beehive State:
1. Hurtle down a bobsled track.
There are only two bobsled tracks in the entire country, and one of them is at Utah's Olympic Park in Park City. You can take an epic ride on a bobsled, where you'll reach 60 mph.

2. Go scuba diving.
Utah is a long way from the ocean, but that doesn't rule out scuba diving! Visit the Homestead in Midway to scuba dive in the warm waters of the crater. Or, head to the desert near Wendover to scuba at Blue Lake.

4. Take a brewery tour.
If you're new to Utah, you might be surprised at our craft beer scene. We have several local breweries turning out some award-winning brews, and you can tour some of them. Epic Brewing offers tours for groups of 2-10 people; just contact them in advance at 801-906-0123.

5. Take a dog sled ride.

6. Learn to sail.
Utahns normally think of taking out a fishing boat or going waterskiing on Utah's lakes, but did you know that you can also go sailing? Bonneville School of Sailing offers sailing lessons and sail cruises on Utah Lake.

7. Go surfing.
Utah's lakes don't typically have waves big enough for surfing, but that shouldn't deter you. Head for Flowrider in Ogden, where you can learn to surf indoors!

8. Stroll on a sand dune.
Utah may have a lot of desert, but it tends to be a flat, sagebrush-laden landscape. Visit Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park to see the kind of sand dunes you'd typically see in the Sahara.

9. Fly without wings...or a parachute.
If you'd love to see what it's like to fly, but you're too afraid to jump out of an airplane, visit iFly in Ogden. They'll put you in their wind tunnel where you can soar on a tunnel of air without fear of falling to your death.
