This is easily one of the best Christmas light displays in Utah and a destination that will immediately fill you with holiday cheer. If you've never seen Luminaria in Utah in person, this is the year to go!
For an absolutely magical holiday experience, head to Thanksgiving Point. Every year, Ashton Gardens transforms into Luminaria — a wonderland of twinkling lights and luminaries.
Stroll through the gardens to see the trees decked out in colorful, glowing lights.
Bundle up and give yourself about an hour and a half to see it all. During your exploration, grab some hot chocolate and a snack to nibble along the way.
Remember the reason for the season when you visit the nativity scene, then make your way into the Light of the World Garden, which includes dozens of bronze sculptures depicting parts of the New Testament.
The huge, 120-foot-tall tree marks the spot for the incredible light show that is Luminaria. The 40-foot hill is covered with 6,500 luminaries that light up in different colors as they create patterns of waves, swirls, and even flying reindeer. Holiday music accompanies this incredible light show.
While you're basking in the beauty of the holiday lights, you'll also enjoy warming tents, communal fire pits, a gingerbread house display, dining, gift shops, and more, sprinkled throughout the venue.
Luminaria runs from November 16, 2023, to January 6, 2024. You can purchase your tickets online and we highly suggest you do — these tickets sell out fast!
Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point is open Monday through Saturday. It is closed on Sundays as well as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
