A Jacksonville tradition for nearly four decades, the festival turns the streets of downtown into a full-blown tomato extravaganza.
This small town in Cherokee County is known for having some of the best tomatoes on earth, and it hosts one of the best things to do in Jacksonville, TX to celebrate the juicy fruit.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of exciting events, from an all-day farmers market to food vendors to arts and crafts to talent shows.

Of course, there are plenty of tomato-themed activities as well, including tomato packing and peeling contests.

Additionally, the week leading up to the Tomato Fest is brimming with activities for all ages, from a fishing tournament to a Mr. and Mrs. Tomato Fest pageant.
