Everyone knows that the best part about the Fourth of July is the fireworks shows! With July 4th just around the corner, you're probably thinking about which fireworks show you will be attending, and with so many beautiful fireworks displays in Texas, choosing one can be a bit overwhelming. If you don't like doing your own fireworks and would rather kick back and watch a show instead, check out one of these July 4th bashes for some seriously amazing fireworks!
1) Addison Kaboom Town! (July 3rd from 5PM to midnight - Addison)
Complete with air shows, musical acts and a 30 minute fireworks show, this awesome July 4th celebration in Addison Circle Park is fantastic and fun for the whole family, plus, it's totally free! It's one of the top fireworks shows in North Texas, so if you're in the area, you should come out and enjoy the show!
2) "Fireworks over the Bay" at Louie's Backyard in South Padre Island
This is the largest display of fireworks on South Padre Island, and the celebration begins at 9:15; even better, admission is absolutely free!
3) Fair Park Fourth (9:45 PM - Dallas)
This is the fireworks show at the State Fair of Texas, so you can enjoy the thrilling rides, great food, and entertaining games all day before the spectacular fireworks begin!
4) Freedom Over Texas (4PM-10PM at Eleanor Tinsley Park - Houston)
This is the largest fireworks display in the greater Houston area, and has been the premiere destination for July 4th celebrations for Houstonians for decades. Clint Black and Josh Turner will headline the event this year, and there will be a children's entertainment area as well!
5) Red, White & Blue Festival & Fireworks Extravaganza (starting at 6PM - The Woodlands)
Second in size only to the Freedom Over Texas festival, this extravagant fireworks show begins at 9:15 PM overlooking Lake Woodlands and Town Green Park, and there's plenty of viewing areas available. Start off the day with the parade, and end it with an amazing fireworks show!
6) Austin Symphony H-E-B July 4th Concert & Fireworks (starting at 4PM - Austin)
The biggest fireworks show in Austin is held right on Lady Bird Lake with a spectacular view of the city skyline in the background. The orchestra will begin their performance at 8:30 PM, and you won't want to miss it!
7) San Antonio's Official 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks Extravaganza (8:30 AM to 11 PM)
Located at Woodlawn Lake Park, bring the whole family out for an all-day 4th of July bash complete with games, food, music, and a Salute to the Red, White & Blue Parade!
8) Fourth of July Celebration at Kemah Boardwalk (Kemah)
Watch a beautiful, patriotic fireworks show over the Galveston Bay at the Kemah Boardwalk at night, and spend a fun-filled day on the amusement park rides or playing the midway games!
9) Lone Stars & Stripes Celebration at Lone Star Park (Grand Prairie)
Gates open at 3PM for a full day of horse racing, petting zoos, face painting, and of course the 20 minute fireworks display choreographed to music at the end of the night!
