Just imagine. No phones. No television. No distractions. Only outdoor fun! Reconnect with the outdoors and zip along a spectacular tree-lined path that is even more breathtaking during the fall with colors of crimson, yellow, and orange. Experience this epic adventure park with 20 courses that will have you looking at your newfound love of the outdoors in a whole new light...or in total darkness, if that's more to your liking!
This adventure park is conveniently located about 20 minutes southeast of downtown Dallas.
Entrance is at 1820 Dowdy Ferry Rd.
There are courses for different ages and abilities. All courses are self guided and all participants move at their own pace.
NOTE: The children's course for 4-5 year olds is closed until spring for renovations.
Safety is the park's top priority...along with having fun, of course.
All guests receive appropriate equipment and a safety briefing before heading out to the park. Park monitors help guests if needed to navigate courses or offer words of encouragement when needed.
The aerial forest ropes park consists of more than 60 platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood and rope to form bridges, ladders and zip lines.
Even though each course has zip lines, you will need to climb to get there.
Teambuilding and group fun is always welcomed here.
The setting encompasses seven wooded acres at The Southern Cross Ranch.
Just imagine being this high - the only thing above you is the big, blue Texas sky!
The courses are set like ski runs, and color-coded accordingly with various degrees of difficulty and elevation.
Each course features eight to twelve elements each for extra thrills.
You'll enjoy every moment here, and you don't need to be a fitness freak to make it through the challenges courses either!
Ages six through seniors can all safely navigate courses in accordance with their personal comfort zone.
Feeling extra adventurous? The park features "Park in the Dark" on weekends through year-end by reservations only.
Now you can agree the sun never sets on this type of adventure!
You're guaranteed to have huge smiles of accomplishment at journey's end.
The park is typically open from noon to 6:00 P.M. on Fridays and from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Saturdays and Sundays. It is open most holidays and for special events, including park in the dark, during certain times of the year. Check out their website for more information.
