Considering the famous slogan "Keep Austin Weird," it probably won't shock you that this strange museum is located in our capital city. From two-headed animals to voodoo to genetic abnormalities, you'll see exhibits featuring every facet of weirdness. Enter if you dare...
The self-proclaimed "strangest attraction in America," the Museum of the Weird will introduce you to creatures and genetic anomalies that will chill you to the very core.
There are Siamese twins...
...shrunken heads...
...and replicas of skeletons that are said to have belonged to mermaids.
Your ticket also includes admission to a freakshow, where you'll see fire-swallowing and this hairy-chested woman, among others.
Get trapped in the clutches of an angry animatronic gorilla...
...and scurry past two different mummies as you half-expect them to pop up and chase after you.
Marvel at a two-headed sheep...
...and a wax figure of the "Elephant Man" who had a genetic abnormality that caused his extremities to swell to unimaginable sizes.
And don't forget to pick up some souvenirs from Lucky Lizard Curios and Gifts on your way out! It would be a crime to leave a place like this without mementos.
The Museum of the Weird is located at 412 E 6th Street, Austin, TX 78701 and is open daily from 10am to midnight.
So, what do you say? Who's ready to experience the weirdness?
