From pumpkin patches and corn mazes to Oktoberfest and the Renaissance Faire, these Texas fall festivals will get you in the spirit of the season in no time.

1. Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington

Kick off the spooky season with Fright Fest, one of the best fall events near Dallas/Fort Worth. From walking through six different haunted houses to riding roller coasters in total darkness, this popular event offers the ultimate scare factor. If you have little ones in tow, don't worry - there's a special day called BooFest designed just for them with not-so-scary festivities. Fright Fest takes place From September 13 to November 3, 2024.

2. Autumn at the Arboretum at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Dallas

I can't go a single year without attending Autumn at the Arboretum. This spectacular harvest festival is known for its jaw-dropping pumpkin displays - there are over 100,000 pumpkins in total! This year's theme is Texas Town, and I couldn't be more excited to go. It will be a journey through the history of Texas. The fun will commence from September 21 to November 3, 2024.

3. Fall Festival at Dewberry Farm, Brookshire

One of the best fall events near Houston is waiting for you at Dewberry Farm. This autumn wonderland boasts over 40 attractions for all ages, including an 8-acre corn maze, farm animals, fall photo-ops, and so much more. Get ready for the fun to start on September 7 and run until November 3, 2024. It’s going to be a blast!

4. Fall Festival at P-6 Farms, Montgomery

For roughly one month out of every year, P-6 Farms offers one of the best fall festivals near Houston complete with themed food and drinks, a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, flower fields, games, and tons of other festivities. 6. Texas Renaissance Festival, Todd Mission

It's always a good time at the Texas RenFest! Located about an hour northwest of Houston, this popular event features jousting, mead, turkey legs, live shows, gorgeous costumes, and so much more. It claims to be "the nation’s largest Renaissance theme park." so you'll never run out of things to do. The themed weekends, which range from pirates to heroes and villains, are always a blast. 7. Texas Rose Festival, Tyler

Held annually since 1933, the Texas Rose Festival is one of the best fall events near Dallas/Fort Worth. Festivities include a parade, the Queen's Coronation and Queen's Tea, and - of course - the nation's largest rose garden serving as the backdrop and inspiration for it all.
