If you're looking for a few places to wander that aren't exactly your neighborhood, you should check out these darling, walkable streets. They are some of the loveliest places to walk around Nashville, and you're bound to find one that appeals to your evening's needs. Have the greatest time!
1. Hillsboro Village
Located on Hillsboro Pike, Hilsboro Village is home to the popular Fido coffee shop, where you can catch a movie at the Belcourt or flip through some fun and flirty gifts at Pangea. This is also the street tourists wrap themselves around to get a pancake from the Pancake Pantry, so we'd recommend heading over to the new brick-and-mortar spot for the Grilled Cheeserie instead.
2. 12 South
Ah, yes - 12 South. The best street to walk in Nashville, where you'll find moms and dads and their littles, where you can shop at Imogene + Willie or indulge in a paleta. This is where you'll find Edley's and Vinnie Louise. Seriously, if you haven't made it out to 12 South you haven't lived - make sure to walk through Sevier Park, while you're at it.
3. Charlotte Avenue
Charlotte Avenue is a bit rough around the edges, stuffed full of thrift shops and antique stores and the teensy-tiny Headquarters Coffee. It's a neat place to peruse, especially if you're planning on dropping in to Rhino Books. There's a co-op down the street, and you may just catch a farmers' market at the park - if you're lucky!
4. Eastland Avenue
Eastland Avenue is where you'll find Rosepepper Cantina and their funny board of quirky sayings, where you can follow up your chips and salsa with Jeni's Ice Cream or spend a bit of time perusing the fun gifts at Welcome Home. Five Daughters just opened their doors at their new East Nashville location, and Two Ten Jack is great for date night!
5. Main Street
This is a bit of a squeeze, but the Main Street in downtown Franklin is only a half an hour from Nashville and has been awarded the best small town main street for years in a row. Why? It's darling, architecturally stunning and rife with history. Walk from Meridee's for breakfast to Anthropologie, then maybe down to one of the plantations on the edge of the historic district - just because you can.
6. Five Points
The Five Points area is what really gives the heart of East Nashville life. This is where you can head for the Tomato Art Festival in Summer or the new Burger Up location. Check out the art pods, a dive bar and maybe check out Barista Parlor down the road if you need a hit of caffeine.
7. Broadway
Broadway may not be the most popular street on this list for locals, but it sure is exciting for tourists! This is where you'll head if you're trying to walk off that visit to a honkytonk or are looking for the light at the end of the Pedestrian Bridge, or perhaps find a Rooftop bar . It's worth a walk or two, but then you'll retreat. Most folks do.
