Thrifting has seen a second life in recent years, and thankfully so. There's just something about the hunt for a hidden treasure, something sweet about the stories behind tables and chairs and stunning old vintage dresses. We scoured the state for twelve thrift stores to visit and one is bound to be near you. Did we list your favorite?
1. Second Blessings Thrift Store - Chattanooga
Located in Chattanooga, Second Blessings is open from 10-5 every day but Sunday, and they operate as a Christian non-profit that helps those in need with their living expenses. Folks rave about how large the expansive thrift store is, as well as (5815 Ringgold Road)
2. Blues City Thrift Store - Memphis
This Memphis gem maintains a self-proclaimed, "boutique-like atmosphere," free from clutter and disorganized shelving. You'll honestly be shocked it's a secondhand store! Visit from 9-6, Tuesday through Saturday. (6685 Quince Road)
3. Dirt Cheap - Madison
Dirt Cheap isn't exactly a secondhand store, but it does take castoffs from large stores like Target and sells them at a steeply discounted price. There are multiple stores, but we're fans of the Madison, Tennessee variety. You can head on down from 9-8pm any day but Sunday. (1142 Gallatin Pike S)
4. Classy Cat Consignment Furniture - Brentwood
Designer pieces at discounted prices? Sign us up! This Brentwood location is family-owned and really has your best interests at heart - you're bound to find the help you need with the nicest people in town.

5. Pre to Post Modern - Nashville
Mid-century gems are the name of the game at Pre to Post Modern at their 8th Avenue South location.
You can find it in a string of shops, maybe grab a coffee at Eighth & Roast, then ponder the best way you can make your home look like Don Draper's. From 10-6pm Monday to Saturday and 1-5 on Sundays, thought! (2110 8th Ave S)
6. City Thrift - Memphis
Most of the folks that come to City Thrift RAVE about their easily organized color tags. You can get a new top or pair of pants for as low as a $1, and that's enough for us. We'd recommend a visit if you're searching for secondhand. (5124 Summer Avenue)
7. Hip Zipper - Nashville
The Hip Zipper does try to be the "cool" kid in town, and we have to say - they win. Located in the historic 5 Points area in East Nashville, this is where you'll find stunning treasures that end up with a bit higher of a price point. The vibe is worth a visit in itself! (1008 Forrest Avenue)
8. Next to New Consignment Shop - Knoxville
Next to New is a great place to shop if you're looking for upscale, name brand women's clothing. Open 10-5 on most days, the boutique-like feel and kind service make this an elevated second-hand experience. (7212 Kingston Pike #4)
9. Heaven Sent Family Outlet - Johnson City
The sweetest local thrift store with a whole lot of treasure? Johnson City gets a leg up on the thrifting side of things with their Heaven Sent Family Outlet. You can visit 9-4pm every day but Sunday. (100 N Roan St)
10. Old Made Good - Nashville
A quirky shop with a vintage vibe, OMG is a fun Nashville staple that adds a bit of fun to a fairly normalized thrift store outing. Artistically decorated and perfectly curated, you'll find something dreamy every trip - we can almost guarantee it. (3701 Gallatin Pike)
11. Our Thrift Store - Franklin
This sweet Franklin spot is just the cutest place, manned by a staff of kind folks with a good heart.
The whole organization pivots on the good of the community, making for an awesome mission behind your new-to-you desk or pair of shoes. (1018 Columbia Avenue)
