Here in Tennessee, the best experiences are found with one another. The Volunteer State has long been known for encouraging community whether you're gathering in Music City simply sipping a glass of wine with friends on your front porch. Every year at Percy Warner Park, one of the most popular parks in the mid-state, there's a little something special that goes on and you won't want to miss it: a Full Moon Pickin' Party. Even the title sounds scintillating, in the same way a cold glass of moonshine and a platter of biscuits and gravy leaves you happy and well. Learn more about it below, friends, and snag a ticket while you can.
Edwin Warner and Percy Warner Parks make up the conglomerate known as Warner Park here in Nashville, Tennessee. With over 3,000 acres of stunning, open meadows, lush hillsides and a series of streams, the 16 miles of hiking trails keep folks coming back for a quick jaunt through the shrouded wilderness.
At the Percy Warner Park Equestrian Center, you'll find a Full Moon Pickin' Party in full swing from May to September. The bluegrass series remains one of the most popular events in the city, and the outdoor venue provides ample room for all visitors.
You'll have the chance to gather with friends and enjoy a meal from one of the local food trucks that set up shop during the event. The bluegrass music is played by local musicians that gather, you guessed it, under the full moon. Wild!
Food is available for purchase from the food trucks on-site, and currently water, soft drinks, and even up to three beers for folks joining that are of age are included in the Full Moon Pickin' Party admission cost. While supplies last, of course.
Tickets are available online at the link we've provided below, and they go on sale for certain dates at a time. You can expect $25 for an adult older than 18 and a $10 charge for youths between the ages of 7 and 17.
Although we'd recommend buying your tickets ahead of time, there are some additional admission tickets available on-site. You can also snag a $10 Picker Ticket if you bring your own approved bluegrass instrument. Make sure you pack a snack if you want to, and blankets and lawn chairs are recommended to watch the show.
Will you be joining in the fun? The Full Moon Pickin' Party at Percy Warner Park is currently operating twice a month through September.
