The first Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch was held in 1997 at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, America's most photographed plantation. The 2023 event will be its 27th year bringing people of all ages together for a day of good old-fashioned fun on the farm celebrating the fall season. During all these years, it has become a Lowcountry family tradition, growing into one of the largest fall festivals in South Carolina.
The event is held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday beginning towards the end of September and running through the weekend prior to Halloween. Pumpkins are available for sale by the pound at the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch.
Along with the incredible pumpkin patch, another main attraction at this event is the eight-acre corn maze. This year, Starling Chevrolet is sponsoring the maze.
There also will be two of the state's largest jump pillows for the kids to enjoy bouncing on.
Another of the most fun activities at the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch is the family-friendly Halloween tractor tour, which takes participants through a series of entertaining scenes.
While many of the activities are geared toward children, this one is enjoyed by attendees of all ages.
What's a festival without some great face painting ...
... or a petting zoo?!
The kids will also enjoy the huge inflatable slide and obstacle course.
Most of the activities are included with the price of admission, but bring along cash for a few of them, such as the pony rides (as well as the face painting). There's also food available for purchase.
Other fun activities included with admission are pig and rubber duck races, a comedy circus, an interactive honeybee exhibit, slides and swings, farm football, an ask-a-farmer interactive series, and live performances. And there will be plenty of fun fall displays!
Visit the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch page on the Boone Hall Plantation website for additional details. After such a full day of fun, you may wish to stay in town for the evening. Book the Shem Creek Cottage in Mount Pleasant's charming historic district to complete the experience!
