When it comes to fun in the sun in South Carolina, out-of-state visitors are quick to think of our gorgeous beaches. While our beaches are fantastic, there's a lot more that our state has to offer when it comes to the great outdoors. What oftentimes gets overlooked are our beautiful rivers and lakes. Luckily, there's a fantastic tour company that offers scenic tours through one of South Carolina's most beautiful rivers, Lynches River.
If you haven't taken a kayak or canoe trip with RiverRat's Canoe Rentals, you'll want to add them to your list for spring activities.
RiverRat's Canoe Rentals has been family-owned and operated since 2009.
The owner, Barry Frick has paddled Lynches River since he was a boy.
The tour company started with just six boats, but now offers over 100 boats for rentals and tours on the Lynches River.
Come on your own and join in on a tour, or organize your own group.
RiverRat's offers guided 5-mile and 10-mile tours along Lynches River.
The 5-mile tour takes 2-4 hours and costs $30 per person and the 10-mile tour takes 5-7 hours and costs $40 per person.
Lynches River was named after Thomas Lynch, Jr., signer of the Declaration of Independence. It's 140 miles long.
The river rises in North Carolina and flows only a short distance to the South Carolina border.
RiverRat's tours flow through the center of the scenic river section.
Paddle and flow through beautiful, tall cypress trees and around scenic areas untouched by mankind.
For springtime fun and memories that will last a lifetime, go on a kayak tour with RiverRat's along Lynches River.
