What began as a chance, young friendship between three college students years later has blossomed into a fun business venture known as Tijon, a perfume shop in Charleston. Its original flagship location is based in St. Martin in the Caribbean where the friends traveled for a post-Covid getaway trip together. Unbeknownst to them, an experience awaited that would forever change their lives and the city of Charleston, where they now have opened one of two locations in the contiguous United States, with the second being in New Orleans. This perfume shop offers the unique opportunity to create your own custom, personal fragrance, and it's one of the most unique things to do in Charleston.
Tijon is located on King Street in the heart of downtown Charleston.
It offers perfume/cologne-creating classes that are some of the most unique things to do in Charleston, allowing participants to craft their own personal, custom fragrances. In the Mix & Match class, you will start by choosing from 12 premixed blends and then from over 300 oils to add to it!
Certified instructors will introduce you to the lab and teach you the art of fragrance curation. You can take notes in your perfuming workbook, and you'll receive a certificate of completion.
You are sure to find the perfect combination for your signature fragrance with so many options. The Mix & Match class lasts for about an hour.
Fragrance 101 lasts for two hours or longer and allows you to test an unlimited number of combinations from over 300 oils. And then there's the Fragrance in a Flash class which lasts only 20 minutes if you want a quicker experience. With this option, you choose four oils.
