Chapel by the Sea is a delightful little place of worship that sits at beautiful Conimicut Point in Warwick. Known for its festive wedding celebrations, it's also a place to go for baptisms, celebrations of life, and worship service, this quaint little church plays a big role in Rhode Island life.
Conimicut Point Beach is one of the most scenic parts of Warwick, and that's where you'll find Chapel by the Sea.
This charming property is located mere steps from the ocean, and you can smell the salty sea air when you arrive.
The onsite gazebo is perfect for a small outdoor wedding or event.
The entire property is totally romantic.
The non-denominational chapel opened in 1963, and it has been a beloved spot for worshipping and weddings ever since.
Thousands and thousands of happy couples have tied the knot here.
From the intricate stained glass window to the carved wood pulpit, every detail about the chapel is beautiful and unique.
Floor-to-ceiling windows provide beautiful views of the water. And in the summertime, you can open them and enjoy the scents and sounds of the ocean during your ceremony.
Up to 90 guests can fit inside this chapel comfortably.
But the site is meant for ceremonies only — you'll have to find another venue for your reception. But before you do, you'll want to take plenty of photos in the gardens and by the gazebo.
Sunday services are at 10 a.m. and have a non-denominational Christian slant. They are uplifting and positive.
However, you don't have to be Christian to get married here... you can customize your wedding ceremony to suit your needs.
Chapel by the Sea is a stunning place, and anyone would be lucky to get married there.
And if you don't live anywhere near Warwick, you can always do a video consultation with the staff via Zoom.
