Get a behind-the-scenes look at how your favorite potato chips are made on this fun factory tour in Pennsylvania.
Embark on a unique tour that will give you a close up look at just how Herr's makes some of its most popular snacks, including potato chips.
Stop for a photo in front of the welcome sign and next to Chipper, the Herr's Snack Factory mascot. If you're lucky, you just might run into the real mascot wandering around the factory.
Notice a huge truck dangling high off of the ground? Not to worry. That's just the latest shipment of potatoes as they're transported into the factory.
Join the free hour long tour that will give you a glimpse into the history of one of PA's most popular snack factories, starting with a brief film in Chipper's Theatre.
Wear comfy shoes and weather appropriate attire as you'll walk between three buildings during the tour that will give you a bird's eye view of the production floor.
Learn interesting tidbits - what makes a good potato for chips, for example - about just what goes into making your favorite chips and other snack foods.
Tickets for the tour, which you must purchase ahead of time, cost $4 for adults and $3 for children between four and 17 years. Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time.
Stop by the gift shop so you can stock up on plenty of Herr's snack favorites and other gifts like t-shirts. The gift shops welcomes guests Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Join a free Herr's Snack Factory Tour Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Call ahead on Thursdays and Fridays to ensure there will be production that day.
