1. Robot Hall of Fame

Snap selfies with such famous droids as R2D2 and C3PO from Star Wars when you visit the Robot Hall of Fame, located right in the Carnegie Science Center. The Robot Hall of Fame, which opened in 2003, pays homage to the famous real and fictional robots who have made an impact on our society. So, stop by for a visit with such well-known robots as the Terminator, WALL-E, and Robby, the Robot.

2. Photo Antiquities Museum

Discover the rich history of photography - and the evolution of the camera - at the Photo Antiquities Museum. The museum boasts more than a half a million photos in its gallery. Get a glimpse of Pittsburgh of yesteryear in the Pittsburgh Room. And, admire the more than 2,000 cameras on display in the Camera Room.

3. Pittsburgh Winery

What do you think when you hear "winery?" A sprawling country estate, perhaps? Well, the Pittsburgh Winery is located right in Pittsburgh, in an old bank building. Wine is made on site at the winery. And, guests are welcome to the Tasting Room to taste the Pittsburgh Wines. Pittsburgh Winery also features a listening room, where musical guests often perform.

4. The Clemente Museum

Roberto Clemente is as much of a household name in the Burgh as Heinz. But, have you visited the Roberto Clemente Museum (by appointment only)? The charming museum provides an intimate portrait of the Pirates great and humanitarian through all phases of his life to his untimely death in a plane crash in 1972.

5. Robin Hill Park

Tucked in Corapolis, Robin Hill Park stretches across 200 acres of lush green. If you're on the hunt for somewhere new to hike, you've found it. The picturesque park features numerous trails, including the Log Cabin Trail (where you'll see a log cabin), the Beech Trail, and the Ridgeback Trail. Robin Hill Park also boasts a Georgian-style home, which can be rented for special events.

6. Historic Hanna’s Town

Get a glimpse into life in Southwestern Pennsylvania when you visit Historic Hanna's Town. The historic town is known as the first town west of the Allegheny Mountains to have a court. Today, visitors can go on a guided tour of the reconstructed village, which consists of log cabin houses, a tavern, and a courthouse.

7. U.S.S. Requin

If you've been near the North Shore, you've likely seen the U.S.S. Requin. But, have you ever been inside the World War II-era submarine? Now part of the Carnegie Science Center, the U.S.S. Requin once housed 80 men during the second world war. Walk through the submarine to get a glimpse into life inside the vessel.

8. Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop

Remember how much fun going to a candy store was when you were a kid? Relive that excitement when you visit Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop in the Strip District. Explore the candy shop that boasts a huge assortment of soda (in old-fashioned glass bottles) and those popular candies from childhood - Airheads, cotton candy, and whirly pops.
