Pennsylvania shines during the Christmas season. No matter in what corner of the state you live, you're never too far from some of the merriest events and activities of the season. One of many dotting the state, this drive-through Christmas lights display in Pennsylvania is absolutely magical. And it won't take up too much of your time.
Balmy summer days at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster mean seats filled with baseball fans eating hot dogs, drinking cold beer, and cheering on the home team, the Lancaster Barnstormers.
However, months after the final pitch of the season sails over the plate, the stadium transforms into a winter wonderland of twinkling lights.
With hundreds of thousands of dazzling lights, Christmas Spirit Light Show draws visitors from all over for this one-of-a-kind holiday adventure.
Turn the radio to the posted station for the holiday soundtrack to this incredible holiday show. Don't be too surprised if you find yourself singing along to your favorite Christmas songs.
A drive around the track usually takes 30 minutes or so, so if you have a jam-packed schedule, you don't have to worry about carving out too much time for your adventure.
Even if you visited last year, you'll discover new displays that shimmer against the darkened sky.
No matter how brutally cold it gets outside, you can stay toasty in your car as you make your way around the track.
However, if you visit on the weekend, park your car after you've finished driving through the lights display. Weekends feature Christmas Tree Lane at the stadium concourse.
Admire the more than 100 intricately-decorated Christmas trees, and vote for your favorite. Santa will also be on hand to smile for free photos, and you can grab a hot drink and a bite to eat.
You can purchase tickets or a season pass online or at the gate. Christmas Spirit Light Show, which runs through the end of the year, lights up Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
