When’s the last time you channeled your inner artist and tested just how far your creativity could take you? You can do just that – and add a few drinks and laughs with friends – when you sign up for a woodworking workshop at Board & Brush in Pittsburgh. The creative destination provides the perfect way to spend a few hours relaxing, having fun with your friends or kiddos, and nurturing your inner artist.
Board & Brush, in the North Hills, makes creating art a fun and casual experience with its selection of woodworking workshops geared toward aspiring artists of all ages.
That’s right. You can book a workshop with your friends; create art with your kids; or sign your middle schooler up for a workshop. Virtual workshops are also available.
Here’s how it works. You can sign up for an already-scheduled workshop, such as the Double-Sided Porch Sign Workshop, during which time you’ll sand, put together, and paint or stain a double-sided sign for your porch.
You’ll have the guidance of a seasoned instructor if you need help.
You can also sign up for one of the many Pick Your Project Workshops. Picking your own project gives you a ton of flexibility and choices.
Peruse the studio’s gallery to decide what type of project on which you want to work – a flower box, a clock, or a sign to hang in your bathroom or your kitchen, for example.
Once you’ve decided what project you want to make, you sign up online for the preferred date for the workshop. Workshops typically last three hours.
Board & Brush is a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) destination, so you can have a few drinks with friends as you create your wood project.
Keep an eye on Board & Brush’s calendar for upcoming workshops, including special events such as the Bingo Pick Your Own Workshop.
