Winter’s definitely here, with its gray skies and cold temperatures, and some of us are already counting down the days until spring. While the calendar's pages might not turn as quickly as we want, we can still enjoy a taste of spring all winter long when we visit the Bloomfield Winter Market in Pittsburgh. Yep, the popular farmers market also hosts a market all winter long.
Bundle up for a winter’s trip to the farmers market. Bloomfield Winter Market promises all the goodness of its Saturday Market during the coldest months of the year.
Bloomfield Winter Market is held the first and third Saturdays of the month through March 21, 2020 at 5050 Liberty Avenue.
Bring your shopping list or just browse at the vendors who sell everything from fresh produce, and hot and cold foods to handmade products.
Stop by the Sewickley Soap Company’s table, for example, where you’ll find an assortment of bars of soap, foaming soaps, and shave soaps, which come in a variety of scents.
Stock up on fresh produce from such vendors as Harmony Grove Farm, Sam Market, and Sturges Orchards.
Don’t forget to bring your appetite with you, too, since you’ll probably want to try some of the goodies available. Barlow Bakes, for example, sells its small batch cookies while City Fresh Pasta sells made-to-order food.
