If you've been longing to get out onto the ice this winter, there is no better place to do it than at the iconic Lloyd Center Ice Rink. This fun rink is all you need for an incredible indoor winter adventure, and when you are done, you can go shopping and eat at the food court. What could be more perfect than that?
The Lloyd Center Ice Rink opened in 1960, and at the time, it was the world's first ice rink in a shopping mall.
When the mall was first constructed, it was uncovered and when it would snow on rare occasion, the ice would be dusted with snow as well, making for a magical experience.
Whether you like to just practice skating casually...
Learn to skate ...
Or even start skating competitively, this iconic Portland ice rink is just the spot to do it.
Tanya Harding even got her start here. You can too. They offer adult figure skating classes, along with a whole host of other classes from beginning to advanced.
After extensive remodeling, transforming the rink from an oval to circular shape, the rink reopened in 2016.

On Saturday nights, they even offer a free skate with a live DJ to add to the fun.
