Oklahoma is home to an abundance of creepy, abandoned places - many of which are also haunted and filled with tales of ghosts and paranormal activity. One such place that sits withering away is Cottonwood Manor in Yukon, Oklahoma. It's one of Oklahoma's haunted locations and (sorry) but off-limits to visitors. However, if you're ready to see where very few have gone, I'll take you on a virtual tour inside of this forbidden hospital that's been left to decay.
Cottonwood Manor was built in the 1950s but oddly its original identity still remains a mystery.
Some say it was an insane asylum but it was most likely a nursing home for those with physical and mental disabilities.
When the facility was in operation the health officials were called in to check on the patients. When they noticed none of the patients had been tested for tuberculosis, every patient was transferred out. Cottonwood Manor never recovered and closed its doors for good.
A few years later a pastor came in and purchased the abandoned hospital with the hopes of opening a church.
It never happened and the building is still filled with furniture, clothing, toys and lots of junk.
Like this creepy doll that lies on the floor.
The facility was only made to house about 75 patients but it ended up with around 200.
Of course, a creepy building like this brings tales of paranormal activity and ghostly hauntings.
Can you imagine the creepy things that go on in this abandoned place?
The building is strictly a "NO TRESPASSING" property and law enforcement will be called.
