If you’re a peach lover like we are, then you won’t want to miss the annual Porter Peach Festival this summer, one of the sweetest events you can experience in Oklahoma. If you know anything about the best peaches in the Sooner State, then you know some of the sweetest peaches in the state can be found in the orchards in and around the Porter area. This three-day peach festival is filled with everything peaches and also includes food vendors, rides, games, a parade, contests, and much more. So loosen your belt, grab some napkins, gather up the family and some friends, and get ready to enjoy one of the biggest events of the summer. We just know you're going to love it!

The annual Porter Peach Festival will take place July 18-20, 2024, in downtown Porter.

It is the 58th annual festival and is one of the most beloved festivals in the state of Oklahoma. During the three days, there is a full schedule of events you won't want to miss.

The festival is all about peaches and celebrating the town's agriculture.

Once here, you will see that there is a full lineup of activities and events for the whole family. The schedule includes a parade, contests, live music, games, a 5k run, a talent show, and much more. Be sure to bring lots of water to drink, because it is summertime in Oklahoma, after all, and it can get quite hot and humid/

Another great thing about the festival is the number of fresh peaches that are available to purchase.

They also have a peach auction where the best peaches in the state are auctioned off to the highest bidder. Have you ever heard of such a thing? We hadn't either but bring it on!

You'll also find a variety of food and art vendors.

Many of the food vendors sell fair-type food so you can get all your favorites with them well in advance before the fair rolls around in the Fall. There are also a number of local food trucks with an eclectic mix of deliciousness.

Mrs. Parnell's Peachy Things Culinary Contest is a fun contest if you want to show off your best peach recipes.

There is a small fee to enter and the proceeds go to a good cause. They do say that charity begins at home!

The best part about the festival might just be the free peach ice cream.

If you love cold ice cream, on a hot summer day, (well, anytime is a great time for ice cream!) then this is a flavor not to be missed! The date and time will be announced on Facebook, so be sure and follow along (link at the end of the article).

Livesay Orchards and The Peach Barn - Orchard & Bakery will also be set up at the festival.

This is the place to indulge in even more tasty peach desserts.

And, you'll be able to purchase many peach products to take home so you can enjoy all this yumminess at home.
