Flea markets are full of hidden gems that you might not find at the big box stores or online. They're not the place to visit if you need something specific but browsing with an open mind can lead to a treasure trove of vintage and unique items. Luckily, Cincinnati is home to an amazing flea market that features unique products from local merchants. To make the most out of summer and early fall, consider taking a trip to City Flea in Cincinnati.
For a day of treasure hunting, head over to Washington Park.
You don't have to go far to find local goods that are true to Cincinnati. City Flea is located in beautiful Washington Park, with tents that line up just in front of Cincinnati Music Hall. It's a great way to explore a different part of the city and find local goods all in one spot. This six-acre park is one of the most historic areas of the city, it was originally used as cemetery space before it was acquired by the city in 1858 and turned into public space.
There are so many unique vendors to see at this vibrant flea market.
There's something for everyone at this family-friendly outdoor flea market. In fact, City Flea hosts hundreds of vendors at each market. Some even get their start here by selling homemade crafts and then transitioning to a full-on business. For sheer size alone, this is one of the best flea markets in Cincinnati, but connecting with and supporting small business owners is a great feeling no matter where you are.
Find a vintage outfit or save on the latest trends.
In addition to small crafts, jewelry, and decor, you can find unique apparel at some of the fashion-focused vendors. One thing's for sure, you'll definitely have a cool story to tell when others ask where you found your outfit! Plus, you know what they say, everything comes back. What were once dowdy clothes in your parent's closet are now the hottest trends, and you can get all those unique items at City Flea.
While you're there, have a bite to eat.
The great thing about City Flea is that you don't have to leave the market to satisfy your appetite. In addition to tent vendors, there are also a few food trucks that offer delicious favorites from local businesses. Treasure hunting can be exhausting and you're going to need to refuel at some point. They've got you covered!
Take a shopping break and watch the performers.
From live bands to dancers, you can expect to see some street performers at City Flea. It's a great way to give your feet a rest and watch an entertaining performance. You might even want to join in and dance! City Flea is so much more than just a shopping experience. You can easily make a day of this dynamic event.
There's even a Kids' Market.
At City Flea, the kids are never left out. In fact, some of the vendors are kids themselves! One portion of the market is dedicated to the "kids market," where kids from all over the area can show off some of the crafts they've made and have for sale.
