Just south of downtown Columbus, you'll find this quaint, historic village, which was settled by a large number of German immigrants in the mid-1800s.

There's no shortage of delicious cuisine for lunch or dinner in German Village. Katzinger’s Delicatessen features a total of 77 different signature sandwiches.
For the best German cuisine in the state, visit Schmidt’s Sausage Haus und Restaurant, which has been a well-known sausage haus in central Ohio since 1886.
The Thurman Cafe features mouthwatering, overloaded burgers just waiting for a contender to take on the joint’s specialty: The Thurmanator.
You'll also want to visit the beautiful Schiller Park, which is named after Friedrich Schiller and was once a community meeting ground for the German settlement.
During the summer months, you might even be able to catch some free "Shakespeare in the Park." (Pictured is a summer evening performance of Hamlet.)
