Events take place in Cincinnati all year long, but some naturally tend to shine brighter than others. In 2017, the Queen City was introduced to a brand new, revolutionary event called BLINK. BLINK was a successful light show that lit up our city like never before. Not only were the streets of OTR and downtown literally shining with unique lights and works of art, but they were also filled with people who were enjoying our beautiful city. BLINK is back this year and once again Cincinnati and even parts of Northern Kentucky will light up with new features and a hometown spirit we can't get enough of.
BLINK is a unique light show in Cincinnati that took over the streets of OTR and downtown in 2017.
When the event was first announced, most locals didn't know what to expect, but it is safe to say that it exceeded our wildest imaginations. Our city's landmarks, parks, street corners, and even alleys were transformed into colorful works of art that drew thousands of visitors.
If you attended BLINK in 2017, then you know it was a very special experience in Cincinnati.
As one of the largest light, art, and projection mapping events in the nation, BLINK returns to the streets of Cincinnati this year on October 10-13, 2019. It will stretch from OTR, through downtown along the Streetcar line, and along the riverfront.
This year, BLINK will traverse the river into Covington and our beloved Roebling Suspension Bridge will also play a role.
The bridge will be illuminated and flooded with music as it connects the event on both sides of the river. Covington will be a large part of the party, with installations, artwork, and events taking place there as well.

While many of the light projections were on buildings, there were also plenty of interactive works where you literally become a part of the art. The massive crowds loved these features and they are sure to be a highlight again this year.
Don't forget your camera during BLINK, because the entire event is photo-worthy.
You may want to plan multiple visits to BLINK, one as a romantic date night and then another with the family. The event will be the same each night and it's free to attend (aside from parking and if you choose to ride the streetcar), so you have no reason not to see it again and again.
There will also be so much to experience that it will be difficult to do it all in one evening.
There will be plenty of food and drinks available for purchase along the route of the event, so definitely plan on making a complete evening out of your visit.
