Located in the heart of Oakley, Blue Manatee has long been a favorite kid-friendly destination in Cincinnati.

While it used to be located just down the street and now has a newer location and new owners, the same charm and nostalgia exists inside these walls. Kids of all ages will fall in love with this cozy and memorable bookstore.

When the shop reopened as Blue Manatee Literacy Project & Bookstore, they started a new mission.

Now with every book sold, a book is donated to an at-risk Cincinnati student. These books are age and level-appropriate, which means we can all make a meaningful difference in the lives of local kids, just by shopping for a few new books.

The interior of Blue Manatee has had a makeover as well, and it's now even more ideal for eager, young readers.

The space is just large enough to include a wide variety of titles and other items, but is small enough to feel cozy and welcoming.

There are many separate areas for looking through a book or interacting with the engaging decor.

Even children who don't know their ABCs will love browsing the books at Blue Manatee. Of course there are books, games, toys, art supplies, and more for all ages.

Blue Manatee is a welcoming place in Cincinnati where you'll feel more than comfortable bringing your kids.

The space was designed just for them and babies through school-age children will enjoy the colorful design and multiple, cozy corners.
