As each holiday approaches, it seems there are endless opportunities for the youngest Cincinnatians to join in the festive fun. Of course, most events and activities are geared toward children, but who says the adults can't have a little fun, too? Even grown-ups enjoy the thrill of an exciting Easter egg hunt, which is why many of them have popped up all over the Queen City. If you're looking for a unique event this spring, check out Anderson Park District's Adult Egg Hunt that will surely bring out the kid in you.
Spring is here and Easter is fast approaching, which means it's time to plan for an egg hunt. These exciting events are often reserved for children, but recently, the adults have been able to get in on the fun.
Anderson Park District started an adult egg hunt a few years ago and was an instant hit. Adults (ages 18 and over) gather at Riverside Park on its all-weather fields for an Easter egg hunt of grown-up-sized proportions.
This year, the hunt will take place on Thursday, April 18th, at 7 p.m. You do need to purchase a ticket ahead of time (you can find the link to do so below) and this fun event will likely sell out, so don’t wait to reserve your spot!
Adults are divided into four different groups, with names like the "Golden Hunt" for those 50 years and up, and "Millennial Mad Dash" for those 18-34. Bring your own bag and gather as many eggs as you can, as some special eggs are worth great prizes.
The event takes place rain or shine, and some would argue the rain makes it even more fun. Of course, there's a bit of competitiveness amongst participants, but it is all in good, festive fun.
Many local sponsors make this event possible and provide some sought after prizes. Gift cards for restaurants, t-shirts, and more are all up for grabs. This is definitely not your typical chocolate and quarters egg hunt.
The little ones will have their chance at the fun too, on Saturday, April 20th. They may be much cuter when hunting for those eggs, but there's nothing like getting to act like a kid again at this fun-filled event in Cincinnati.
Egg hunts don't have to just be for children, and adults can feel like a kid again at this fun-filled event in Anderson that's just for them. Have you participated in an adult egg hunt? Do you want to? Share your experience with us in the comments and tag your festive (and competitive) friends!
