The Assumption Abbey is a monastery out in Richardton, North Dakota that was established in 1893.
The abbey welcomes all visitors who can come and take a tour and check out the visitors center or even spend a few nights on a retreat.

Even in the winter the Assumption Abbey looks stunning in every way, with its lovely architecture and grounds.
The abbey is open to visitors from Monday to Saturday during the hours of 8:00-11:30 AM and 1:00-4:30 PM, and on Sundays from 8:00-11:30 AM and 1:00-3:00 PM.
One of the things this place is also known for is its special, handmade gifts they have available to all visitors and online. Their fruitcake is very popular around the holidays, and plenty of other things such as wine and handcrafted pottery is available.
