National Buffalo Museum, located at the Frontier Village in Jamestown, is home to the famous albino white buffalo - White Cloud. People will travel hundreds, and even thousands, of miles to catch a glimpse of this BEAUTIFUL creature!
5. J. Clark Salyer National Wildlife Refuge
J. Clark Salyer National Wildlife Refuge is nearly 60,000 acres and is located within Bottineau and McHenry Counties. The scenery in this area is absolutely GORGEOUS!
6. North Dakota State Capitol Building
North Dakota's State Capitol Building is a 19-story tower that sits in the middle of 160 acres in Bismarck. The numerous walking trails, parks and monuments on the capitol grounds is what makes this building one of the state's top touring attractions.
7. Dakota Dinosaur Museum
Dakota Dinosaur Museum is located in Dickinson and is operated completely by generous volunteers. This AMAZING 13,400 square foot museum has a GREAT collection of artifacts! Dakota Dinosaur Museum is only open from May to Labor Day, so keep this in mind if you plan to visit.
8. Scandinavian Heritage Park

9. Little Missouri National Grassland
At 1,028,784 acres, Little Missouri National Grassland is the LARGEST grassland in the U.S.
10. Dakota Zoo
Located on the banks of the Missouri River, in Bismarck, is Dakota Zoo. When this zoo first opened in 1961, it only covered 15 acres and housed 75 mammals and 23 birds. It also only had 40,000 visitors during that year. Today, Dakota Zoo covers 90 acres, houses over 600 animals, and has an average of 150,000 visitors annually. If you're a TRUE animal lover, Dakota Zoo is definitely the place to be!
